Who we are & what we do
We are a family company based in both Coventry and Banbury; and have been selling in the optical arena on online platforms for over 4 years – eye drops, lens cleaners, cloths and glasses’ screwdrivers.
Our signature brand of spectacle/glasses cords – Dr Jon’s Gorilla Grips – was developed 4 years ago after many discussions with customers who couldn’t find a strong, secure or distinct spectacle cord at an affordable price that befits the quality of the product.
In Europe, between 55-60% of people wear optical glasses, and these 55-60% of people will – at some stage – misplace them and/or want them on their person to use quickly. Our Gorilla Grips are comprised of sturdy, thick (but not too thick) cords with rubber fastening hoops, which the glasses’ arms slip through. That’s how easy it is.
A glasses cord is also a fashion accessory – a part of a person’s everyday wear – and can exemplify their personality, outlook and style for that day or week. We continue to grow our colour range from the original classic black to our latest hot pink, so our customers can choose exactly what shade they want Dr Jon’s Gorilla Grips continue to sell to all of Europe with our message: ‘Strong, Secure and Stylish is Beautiful’
